Scientists are beginning to doubt that Evolution Theory is true
I suspect that it is the Intelligent Design theorists who are expressing all the doubt. The articles in the journals devoted to scientific research show no sign of doubt. There are differences expressed concerning details of Evolution Theory, but there is no overarching doubt. Of course, it is always possible that the Intelligent Design proponents do not get published because of the narrow-mindedness of the 'Darwinists'. Empirical evidence does not bear this out, however. According to Rennie (2002):
. . . according to the editors of Nature, Science, and other leading journals, few antievolution manuscripts are even submitted. Some antievolution authors have published papers in serious journals. Those papers, however, rarely attack evolution directly or advance creationist arguments; at best, the identify certain evolutionary problems as unsolved and difficult (which no one disputes). In short, creationists are not giving the scientific world good reason to take them seriously.
And if you come across a quote by a well-known scientist (not an Intelligent Design theorist) that seems to deny Evolutionary Theory, I suggest that you obtain the quote in full context, before you give it credit; it may have been taken out of context.

Please return to Empirical Doubts.
